About Sauze d’Oulx
Sauze d’Oulx is a winter ski and summer resort in the Italian Alps. Located in the upper Susa Valley, Piemonte, at 1509 meters above sea level. Sauze is a part of the extensive Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski area, covering over 400km of piste with over 72 lifts, the highest being at 2825m.

Sauze d’Oulx is a popular tourist destination all year round but especially in summer and winter thanks to its skiing, the mountains and the valleys, the variety of local produce, the area’s natural beauty and Sauze’s enviable sunshine record.
A number of events take place in Sauze throughout the year including international ones like Iron Bike “the hardest bike race in the world”, Superenduro MTB and many ski events to summer kite festivals, music festivals and more.
ABOUT THE VILLAGE
Sauze d’Oulx is nicknamed “the balcony of the Alps” due to its stunning position overlooking the high Susa Valley. It is one of the most important resorts in the Via Lattea (Milky Way) ski area.
Sauze has a thriving community all year around. Shops covering most needs from hardware to clothing by way of hairdressers and supermarkets can be found throughout Sauze along with cafes serving the best Italian coffee, cake shops, bars, restaurants, sports shops and many more.
In the old town stands the Church of San Giovanni Battista. Built in 1532, it has wonderful with columns in carved wood framing a painting of Christ’s baptism. The church also has a fine bell tower in the Romanesque style. The ancient fountain, just outside the church, was erected in the 16th century,
